UA 14-year-old boy who was seriously injured when an SUV crashed into a Chicago suburban restaurant, injuring four others, died days later, authorities said on Friday.

According to the Associated Press, Sean Patrick Richards died on Thursday night, said Natalia Derevyanny, a spokeswoman for the local coroner’s office. She also revealed that an autopsy on the body had not yet been scheduled, at least until this Friday morning.

The teen was outside Fontano’s Subs in Hinsdale when he was hit on Monday afternoon by an SUV that then collided with the front of the restaurant. The young man was airlifted to the University of Chicago Children’s Hospital.

Three other people inside the restaurant were also hit by the SUV or debris and were hospitalized in serious condition. A fourth person, who was left with only minor injuries, was treated at the scene.

Police said the driver of the SUV, who was not injured, was pulling out of a parking lot across the street when the accident occurred. The police are investigating the causes and no complaints have been filed.

Hinsdale is a town located about 20 miles west of downtown Chicago.
