Ahe health authorities in Gaza, controlled by the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas, have already recorded 27,238 deaths and 66,452 injuries.

In the last 24 hours, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health, Israeli attacks caused 107 deaths and 165 deaths. The Gaza Government has warned that these are, in any case, provisional counts, as there are victims under the rubble and some areas are inaccessible.

Palestinian medical sources reported today that at least 18 people, including women and children, died due to Israeli shelling in recent hours in Deir al-Balah and Rafah. According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, all the victims were in three houses hit by artillery attacks and airstrikes by the Israeli army.

The Palestinian agency reported another death in Gaza City, specifically after being hit by an Israeli sniper in the Al-Nasr neighborhood.

The Israeli army confirmed in recent hours that “dozens” of Hamas militiamen died during military operations in northern and central Gaza, as well as in the city of Khan Yunis, in southern Gaza, one of the epicenters of the conflict in recent weeks.

The offensive has also forced more than 1.7 million people to abandon their homes and the majority of these are congregating in the southern part of the Strip, where the attacks are now concentrated.

The United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) has already warned of a “catastrophic” situation from a humanitarian point of view.

The Israeli military offensive began on October 7, after the Hamas attack on Israel that left at least 1,200 dead and 240 kidnapped, many still held hostage in the Gaza Strip.
