“They shot at civilians.” Three killed in attack in Jerusalem

O The initial number of victims accounted for just one death, but the Israeli police, according to Sky News, revealed that two more people died.

One of the victims is a 24-year-old woman, and there is still no information about the remaining victims.

The injured were transferred to Shaare Tzedek and Hadassah Ein Karem hospitals in Jerusalem, the Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical service said.

The police confirmed the attack with “several victims” on one of the access roads to Jerusalem, near the train and bus station, and indicated that the two suspects “were neutralized on the spot”.

“Two terrorists, who arrived at the scene armed in a vehicle, shot at civilians at the bus stop and were neutralized by security forces and a civilian who was nearby,” said a police spokesperson.

“The information was received at 07:38 local time [05h38 em Lisboa] of a terrorist shooting attack on Weizmann Boulevard in Jerusalem”, the MDA initially reported.

The attack takes place in a climate of tension in the West Bank and Jerusalem, in parallel with the war in the Gaza Strip, where the extension of the truce for a seventh day was agreed today.
