O Former President of the United States Donald Trump said on Saturday that Mike Pence – who withdrew from the 2024 presidential race yesterday – should support him.

“People are abandoning [a corrida presidencial] and supporting me”said Trump, who ran again, at an event in Las Vegas, in the US state of Nevada.

“I don’t know what Mike Pence will do. He should support me. Do you know why? Because my presidency was great and successful and he was my vice president”he justified.

The two were strong allies during the presidency, but the connection faded when Pence refused to support Trump in an attempt to reverse the 2020 presidential results.

In Las Vegas, Trump continued to speak. “But people in politics can be very disloyal,” he said after talking about Kamala Harris’ predecessor.

The withdrawal of the presidential candidacy was announced on Saturday by Mike Pence, who said that this was not “his moment.

“After much prayer and deliberation, I have decided to suspend my campaign for president, effective immediately,” Pence said.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is also running for the seat, supported Pence at the time of his departure. “Vice President Mike Pence is a man of faith and principle who has worked tirelessly to advance the conservative cause,” he wrote on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

“Casey and I thank Mike and Karen for their willingness to appear on this campaign and we wish the Pence family well in their next steps,” he concluded.
