Trump, who closed a meeting of the Republican Jewish Coalition held in Las Vegas, also criticized the aid, worth around 94 million euros, in humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, intended for more than a million people displaced by the conflict, announced by Biden last week.

“Hamas immediately received 100 million dollars. They gave it to Gaza, but (Hamas) will take it 100%,” Trump said.

At least 7,703 people have died and 18,967 have been injured by Israeli bombings in the Gaza Strip since October 7, after the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas killed 1,400 people in a surprise incursion on Israeli soil. Another 229 people were kidnapped and remain in the hands of the Islamist group.

The former President and current favorite in the race for the Republican primaries for the 2024 presidential elections in the United States, was at the event alongside other party candidates who also spoke, highlighting their total support for Israel in the war against Hamas.

Trump also said that, if he returns to the White House in 2025, he will punish Hamas and Middle Eastern countries that support the group with sanctions and cancellation of visas to the United States.

In his half-hour speech, Trump did not mention the withdrawal of Mike Pence, who was his vice president in the White House, from the Republican primaries, announced today.

Pence announced, at the same event, an hour before Trump took the stage in Las Vegas, that he is retiring but will continue to “fight” for Republicans to take over Washington in the next elections.
