“NI will not rest until all the hostages torn from their families and kidnapped by Hamas return to the arms of their loved ones”, said Joe Biden, in a message cited by Europa Press.
Biden recently released an image of four-year-old Abigail Edan, kidnapped by Hamas and released in November.
“Last year, we secured the release of Abigail, a four-year-old child who was being held by Hamas. She is remarkable and is recovering from unspeakable trauma,” the publication reads.
Since then, the two sides have not exchanged hostages.
The number of deaths following the offensive launched by the Israeli army against the Gaza Strip since the start of the war has risen to 34,388, the Ministry of Health of the Gaza Strip, controlled by Hamas, revealed today.
According to local authorities, controlled by the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas, at least 34 people lost their lives in the last 24 hours, in attacks by the Israeli army against the Gaza Strip.
