Ingredients

  • 2 cups of sugar (tea)
  • ½ cup (tea) of water
  • ½ cup (tea) of Karo® corn glucose
  • 2 whites
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 slices of chopped candied pineapple
  • 300 grams of milk chocolate for topping
  • margarine spread

Preparation Mode

  1. In a pan, place the sugar, water, glucose and place over medium heat.
  2. Boil for 10 minutes or until soft.
  3. In electric mixer, beat the egg whites.
  4. Gradually add the syrup from the pan and beat until firm.
  5. With a spoon, beat until it hardens.
  6. Add the vanilla, nuts, pineapple and place on a smooth, greased surface.
  7. Cut into desired shape and let cool.
  8. Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie and dip the chocolates in it.
  9. Place on wax paper and let dry.

Mom Tips

Milk chocolate can be replaced with semi-sweet chocolate.

Approximate yield of 30 units.
