“AA few times a week, he verbally consults with the doctor while he exercises, this is something that happens a lot,” explained presidential spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre, at a press conference.
The health scare for Biden, 81, came after a televised debate with Trump that many analysts and politicians considered to have been very negative for the current White House resident.
At first it was claimed that Biden had a cold that night, and later the President himself added that he was exhausted from recent international travel and preparation for that debate.
On July 3, the White House had reported that the President had not undergone medical examinations since February, but two days later Biden said in an interview with ABC that his doctors had tested him for an infection, which came back negative.
Faced with this apparent contradiction, journalists today demanded transparency from the White House communications office regarding the type of medical examinations.
The spokesperson added to the press that in these three years of office Biden has been medically evaluated three times by a neurologist and wanted to make it clear that he is not undergoing treatment for Parkinson’s nor taking medication for this disease.
