O Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this Wednesday that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “is starting to irritate everyone” in the United States and Europe, and is therefore in a situation “complicated”.

These statements appeared in an interview with the program ‘Putin TV’, an excerpt of which was shared on Telegram, according to the Russian state agency TASS.

“Zelensky is in a very complicated position. First of all, he is starting to touch a nerve. He is starting to irritate everyone, both in America and in Europe,” Peskov said.

“People are starting to ask themselves: what is this man spending our money on if Ukraine is a country famous for being an oasis of corruption on Earth?”, he added.

“Certainly no one likes it and this dissatisfaction with Zelensky will grow”, he further considered. According to Peskov, Zelensky feels this dissatisfaction and “is starting to break down”.

It should be noted that the military offensive launched on February 24, 2022 by Russia in Ukraine caused, according to the most recent UN data, the worst refugee crisis in Europe since the Second World War (1939-1945).

The invasion is justified by Russian President Vladimir Putin with the need to “denazify” and demilitarize Ukraine for Russia’s security. The offensive was condemned by most of the international community, which has responded by sending weapons to Ukraine and imposing political and economic sanctions on Russia.
