Macarons seem to be one of the most complex pastries to make. Many do not dare to put on their apron and get into the kitchen to make this much-loved dessert. However, Nina Métayer, the best pastry chef in the world, demonstrates the opposite.

In a video shared on Instagram, the chef, accompanied by her daughter, shows that it is possible to make homemade macarons in the simplest way, even for children. It’s the ideal preparation to make as a family.

To make around 20 macarons, you will need:

  • 330 g of icing sugar
  • 210 g of almond powder
  • 30 g cocoa powder
  • 6 egg whites
  • 68 g caster sugar
  • 160 g of liquid cream
  • 100g dark chocolate
  • 50 g of milk chocolate
  • 50 g of praline
  • 1.5 g of fleur de sel
