After proving that he excelled in sport, French rugby player, Antoine Dupont, took on a new challenge: opening his own restaurant. An adventure in which he is not embarking alone since his teammate, Pierre-Louis Barassi, is also there.

It is surrounded by a great team that Antoine Dupont is embarking on a new adventure. Supported by his teammate from Stade Toulousain and the XV of France, Pierre-Louis Barassi, but also by two other associates, the oval ball star opened a restaurant, Gaïa, at 24 rue Croix-Baragnon, right in the center of his city of heart, Toulouse. On the program of hostilities: a place steeped in history, Mediterranean cuisine and a good atmosphere!

It is in fact in a beautiful mansion that the fine team has chosen to set up their quarters. An emblematic place in the pink city since it formerly housed the Salle Bleue, a performance hall very popular with Toulouse residents. On the kitchen side, it was left to the talented chef Emma Cazorla to choose and prepare the dishes on the menu. His desire: to play the Mediterranean flavors card through sophisticated dishes and explosive land-sea pairings. Last point to note: far from being a simple restaurant, Gaïa aims to be above all a living place. Every afternoon, the establishment is transformed into a lemonade bar, to welcome you for a snack break, and offers the talents of a DJ from Thursday to Saturday evening. In short, it’s a surprising place that just begs to be visited!

If you have the impression that Gaïa ticks all the boxes for a friendly and trendy restaurant, it’s because Antoine Dupont is not new to this. At the end of 2021, he had already opened an establishment, this time with his brother, Clément. Its name: La Pétanque des Copains. A festive and friendly tavern which has become, in a few months, one of the new must-see places in Toulouse. Let’s wish the same success for Gaia!
