Ohe bodies of a couple from the state of Washington, in the United States, who had been missing since last month, were found at a military base on Saturday. It is believed that the couple was kidnapped and murdered by their tenant.
Davido and Karen Koep, both in their 60s, had been missing for almost three weeks and their bodies were in a base less than half a mile from a house they had rented from Timothy Burke, who was arrested last month and charged with murder first degree and kidnapping following the couple’s disappearance.
Burke, 45, was about to be evicted before he committed the crime. The man allegedly shot the couple and dragged the bodies, then placing them in his own car to get rid of them, according to the North American press.
Authorities have not revealed a motive for the double homicide, but Karen Koep’s sister confirmed that the crime may have been triggered by the imminent eviction of Burke, who appeared to be unwell psychologically.
