Too cold in there ? How about a nutritious and hearty soup? With bacon!
Ingredients
- 1 kg of potatoes, peeled and cut into small cubes
- 1 cup diced bacon
- 1 can of drained green corn
- 1 tablespoon of crushed garlic
- 1 cube of chicken broth
- 1 liter of boiling water
- 2 cups (tea) of cream
- Salt to taste
Preparation Mode
- In a large pan, fry the bacon without oil, in its own fat until golden.
- Drain and reserve.
- In the bacon fat, in the same pan, fry the garlic and add the potato.
- Saute for 5 minutes.
- Add the corn and sauté for another 3 minutes.
- Add the chicken broth and water.
- After it boils, lower the heat.
- Cook for approximately 25 minutes.
- Add the cream of liet and cook for another 3 minutes.
- Check and adjust the salt.
- Serve in individual bowls or large cups.
- Decorate to taste.
Mom Tips
When serving, sprinkle the soup with chopped cilantro and reserved bacon.
