Too cold in there ? How about a nutritious and hearty soup? With bacon!


  • 1 kg of potatoes, peeled and cut into small cubes
  • 1 cup diced bacon
  • 1 can of drained green corn
  • 1 tablespoon of crushed garlic
  • 1 cube of chicken broth
  • 1 liter of boiling water
  • 2 cups (tea) of cream
  • Salt to taste

Preparation Mode

  1. In a large pan, fry the bacon without oil, in its own fat until golden.
  2. Drain and reserve.
  3. In the bacon fat, in the same pan, fry the garlic and add the potato.
  4. Saute for 5 minutes.
  5. Add the corn and sauté for another 3 minutes.
  6. Add the chicken broth and water.
  7. After it boils, lower the heat.
  8. Cook for approximately 25 minutes.
  9. Add the cream of liet and cook for another 3 minutes.
  10. Check and adjust the salt.
  11. Serve in individual bowls or large cups.
  12. Decorate to taste.

Mom Tips

When serving, sprinkle the soup with chopped cilantro and reserved bacon.
