Shepherd’s pie or Magdalene? Traditionally shepherd’s pie is made with lamb meat. We Brazilians already make it with beef. Very tasty!

Ingredients

  • 500 grams of freshly ground duck meat
  • 3 tablespoons of oil or olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of ready-made garlic and salt seasoning
  • 1 dessert spoon of dry chimichurri seasoning
  • 4 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 tablespoon full of butter
  • 100 ml of milk
  • 25 grams of grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 pinch of salt

Preparation Mode

  1. In a pan, heat the oil, onion and fry.
  2. Add the meat and garlic seasoning and salt.
  3. Fry well until the accumulated water in the meat dries up.
  4. After the meat is fried, add enough water to cover the meat.
  5. Let it cook with the pan uncovered until the water almost dry again.
  6. Add the chimichurri, stir and cook until the water dries up and the meat is fried until it is very dry.
  7. Place the meat in an ovenproof dish and set aside.
  8. Prepare a puree by mixing the other ingredients and spreading it over the meat.
  9. Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until browned.
  10. Remove and serve.

Mom Tips

If you wish, you can add other seasonings of your choice to the meat.

The different way of preparing the meat presented here is due to the fact that I like to cook ground meat well. You can do it your way.

Approximate yield of 4 servings. If you prefer, you can double or even triple the recipe.
