The film Mary Poppins, which tells The story of the famous and magical British nannycelebrates this Saturday, July 6, 2024, 60 years since its launch.

How many Oscars did Mary Poppins win?

The film was produced and released by Walt Disney in 1964and was critically acclaimed and won five Oscars, including Best Actress thanks to Julie Andrews’ breakthrough debut.

It was also awarded in the category of best visual effects and best song for Chim Chim Cher-ee.

It took Walt Disney twenty years to convince the author of the novelPamela Lyndon Traverse, to bring to the big screen and thus fulfill her daughter’s dream.

It took two years to write the 17 songs that appear in the feature film.
