Cream Corn

Ingredients

  • 1 can of drained green corn
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup of milk (tea)
  • 1 can of cream
  • Nutmeg to taste
  • Salt to taste

Preparation Mode

  1. Place the corn in a pan with the butter and onion and fry for 5 minutes or until softened.
  2. Place the mixture in a blender and blend with the milk and cornstarch.
  3. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes or until it thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and add the cream.
  5. Season with salt and nutmeg and mix well.
  6. Serve.

Corn Puree

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of green corn
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste

Preparation Mode

  1. Drain the corn, heat it and pass it through a juicer or sieve.
  2. Add the milk, butter, salt and cheese.
  3. Leave it on the fire for a few minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Serve hot.
