Fig mousse is delicious, refined and excellent for special occasions. It’s guaranteed success!
Ingredients
- 1 can of drained figs in syrup (450 g)
- 1 can of condensed milk
- 1 can of cream
- ½ cup of milk
- 1 envelope of unflavored powdered gelatin
- 3 egg whites
- 4 to 5 drained figs in syrup, sliced for decoration
Preparation mode
- Reserve the figs for decoration and also reserve the syrup.
- In the blender, place the remaining drained figs.
- Add the cream and condensed milk.
- Beat enough to homogenize.
- Sprinkle the gelatin in the milk, dissolve in a bain-marie, add it to the blender mixture and blend again.
- Using a mixer, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks.
- Remove the bowl from the mixer, add the blender mixture and mix gently with the help of a spoon until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
- Pour into individual bowls and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- When serving the mousse, add a little of the reserved syrup and decorate with sliced figs.

Approximate yield of 8 servings.
The gelatin is colorless and the envelope used weighs 12 grams.
