Ingredients
- 20 sheets of cooked lasagna dough
- 1 kg fresh skinless sausage, chopped
- 300 grams of mashed ricotta
- 1 cup grated mozzarella
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- ½ cup chopped green chilli
- 1 tablespoon dehydrated garlic, onion and parsley
Sauce Ingredients
- 2 cans of peeled tomatoes
- 1 tablet of meat broth
- 1 cup (tea) of water
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Oregano to taste
- Grated parmesan cheese to taste
Preparation Mode
- Heat the oil and brown the sausage, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and drain all the fat.
- Add the ricotta, green chilli, mozzarella and seasonings.
- Mix well and divide the filling between the dough sheets.
- Roll up like a jelly roll and set aside.
- Place the stuffed cannelloni in a baking dish and set aside.
Sauce Preparation Method
- Preheat the oven to medium temperature.
- Heat the oil and lightly brown the onion and garlic.
- Add the chopped tomatoes with the liquid from the cans, water, meat broth and seasonings.
- Cover the pan and let it boil for 10 minutes or until you obtain a thick sauce, stirring occasionally.
- Spread the sauce over the cannelloni, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and oregano.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese melts.
- Serve hot.
